This quote expresses well why most people are so afraid of fully opening up to someone else.

Yes, we all have our dark corners and we try to hide them as best we can usually. But it costs a lot of energy to do that, constantly. So it can be a true release to finally find the one whom we trust enough to open up completely since we know we will be accepted, not judged, no matter what we may reveal to the other.

I purposefully say “we” since this is not a D/s matter, it applies to us all, Doms, subs, slaves, or vanilla people. All of us need someone we can trust fully and with whom we can strip down to our bare soul, not holding back anything.

It takes a lot of courage but there is nothing that could compare to a relationship that is profound enough to allow both this freedom.
